JB Advance was founded by Jenny Browne (JB), an experienced grant strategist dedicated to helping nonprofits build strong systems, secure funding, and advance their impact.

With a B.A. in Communications and over a decade in the philanthropic sector, Jenny specializes in developing intentional, mission-aligned grant strategies that support both short- and long-term organizational goals. Her expertise spans the full grant lifecycle—including prospect research, narrative development, grants calendar design, cultivation and stewardship communications, and post-award compliance. She also provides targeted fundraising guidance that supports and strengthens overarching grant strategy.

Jenny has partnered with nonprofits of every size—from grassroots organizations to large regional foundations—across diverse sectors including workforce development, health and human services, foster care and adoption, literacy, humanities, justice-involved programming, and recovery services. Her work focuses on helping organizations create the clarity, infrastructure, and confidence needed to pursue funding strategically and sustainably.

A committed leader in the sector, Jenny serves as Board President of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association. In 2024 she was also selected to participate in the Liberation Cohort with Philanthropy for the People, a program for emerging leaders working to advance more equitable, community-centered fundraising and grantmaking practices.
